High wind warnings in the Baltimore area until 10 p.m. Sunday, with winds of 60 mph statewide, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds are expected to be around 8 to 13 mph on Sunday morning. By afternoon, the speed may increase to 20 to 30 mph, while there may be gusts of 60 mph at night.

These fast winds will continue for much of the week and are part of the winter storm system, expected to bring excessive rainfall, severe thunderstorms and winter weather to much of the East Coast.
A serious thunderstorm band will move from west to east on Sunday, according to the NWS Weather Forecast Center at University Park. The weather notice explained that the front of the system is expected to leave the coast on Sunday afternoon, ending the inclement weather threats in the eastern coastal areas.
According to the Weather Forecast Center, strong wind conditions are partly the result of deep pressure in the system.
