The National Weather Service was in the Baltimore area under the Wind Consultant before noon Monday, continuing toward Maryland's power lines and power lines at a rate of 50 mph.

These fast winds will continue for much of the week and are part of Arctic air forecasts that can bring strong winds and winter weather to much of the East Coast. While scattered volumes are expected Monday morning, it is expected to arrive in central Maryland later this week.
Arctic air is expected to bring record low temperatures southward in the U.S. and could cause snowstorms on Appalachian Island when the storm is slowly sailing out, according to the NWS Weather Forecast Center at University Park. In Maryland, Garrett County has been on a snowstorm warning until 3 p.m. Monday.
In the Baltimore area, as temperatures reach 39 degrees, it will gradually turn into sunshine on Monday.
On Monday night, winds are expected to drop to about 11 mph and a top speed of 22 mph. The low is expected to be around 20.
Most of Tuesday are expected to be sunny, with nearly 34. Wind speeds are expected to be between 11 and 15 mph, with gusts expected to reach 24 mph. The temperature is expected to drop to 17 from Tuesday night to Wednesday.
The week's snowfall forecast began Wednesday as the chances of precipitation were 40%, below freezing temperatures throughout the day, reaching 28.
Heading to Wednesday night, snowfall is expected to increase to 50%. Conditions are expected to remain cloudy, below 20.
There is also a 40% chance of snowfall on Thursday. The expected conditions are mostly cloudy, nearly 29 years old. On Thursday night, conditions may remain cloudy, below 20.
