Alerts are crying to heaven after President Trump cuts taxpayer funds for climate change research. [emphasis, links added]

Democrats passed in 2022 “Deploy billions of dollars in climate and environmental justice projects,” Attention Grist, Green Advocacy Publications, Activists fear that the river of free funding could dry up under Trump.

“For me, it's definitely a full-blown brake moment at least in the short term, at least in the short term,” said Gabriel Filippelli, executive director of the Institute for Environmental Resilience at Indiana University. Its $5 million federal grant has been suspended.

“But I don't think what people fully realize is that if you destroy money on a massive scale, the hangover effect will last for a long time, even for a short period of time,” he added. [As of June 30, 2023, Indiana University’s system-wide endowment was approximately $3.56 billion. Colleges can easily fund these studies with the interest alone.]

“This is a clear attempt to undermine the scientific community,” exclaimed Richard Ostfeld, a scientist at the Cary Ecosystems Institute, who examined the impact of climate change on tick-borne diseases.

“Science and scientists, information and facts are seen as enemies, somehow,” he said. “There are all these casualties except scientists that are the American people.”

Critics have long complained about the enormous funding biases created by government-sponsored research on climate change, in which case the results were designed to meet the desired results.

As economist Stephen Moore wrote “[T]His tide waves do reveal the powerful financial motivations of scientists, which can conclude that the Revelation is coming. ”

“If there is no fire, no one would hire a firefighter. If the weather hadn't changed catastrophically, no one would have hired climate scientists (there are now thousands)He added.

This bias is clear under the Biden administration, which does not hide its belief in the “climate crisis” and Only funded research Will confirm its bias.

As National Public Radio (NPR) noted: “Biden’s left office has already laid out the most ambitious climate agenda of any former president.” . ”

Understandably, taxpayer-funded recipients of climate pork are now on the edge.
