The destructive wind has subsided and it is colder again in the Baltimore area.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a sunny and cold Tuesday with highs just above freezing.

Most of Tuesday is expected to be sunny, with nearly 34. Wind speeds are expected to be between 7 and 10 mph, with gusts expected to reach 26 mph. From Tuesday night to Wednesday, temperatures are expected to drop to 20, most clear skies.
The city of Baltimore has started sending out a blue extreme cold alarm Tuesday, which lasts until Friday.
The Baltimore Health Department announces these alerts when temperatures are expected to drop to 13 degrees or less, including in wind chills, or when conditions are severe enough to represent dangers of people’s health.
The declaration activates a range of shelter and assistance services for cities and affiliates, including services for the homeless.
Adults, couples and families in need of emergency shelters are encouraged to contact the City of Baltimore Shelter Hotline at 443-984-9540, the department said.
Arctic air could be further south to the south of the United States and cause Appalachians when the storm slowly sails out, according to the NWS Weather Forecast Center at University Park.
The week's snowfall potential starts Wednesday, mainly after 4 p.m., as the chance of precipitation is 20%, below freezing temperatures throughout the day, reaching 32 near high temperatures.
By Wednesday night, the chances of snowfall increased to 30%. Conditions are expected to remain cloudy, with a low of about 26.
A few inches of snow may be expected to have a 40% chance of snowfall in Talbert and Caroline counties. The largest snow may occur in far Maryland. Otherwise, the expected conditions are mostly cloudy, with a high of nearly 34.
The sky may remain cloudy on Thursday night, 25 low.
It should snow on Friday, mostly sunny, and the heights are close to 40. It will be clear at night, and the low is about 24.
