The controversial $18,000 countdown clock is said to be the beginning of the memorial end, which is seriously graffiti.

2/23/2025UPDED: 2/23/2025In the Melbourne suburb, the newly erected art installation in Fitzroy has been severely damaged with graffiti.
The famous artwork, called “Zone Red”, was created by Melbourne artist and climate change athlete Yandell Walton and debuted in November 2024.

Wuwt does not tolerate illegal and intentional destruction. That being said, I suspect this graffiti attack is related to our articles, vandalism and graffiti rampant inside Melbourne today. In 2023, a murder occurred at the statue site Fitzroy Gardens. It's quite safe during the day, but I don't want to go after dark.
