With NGO financing, plastic policies require greater transparency to eliminate corruption and chaos in legislation.
The latest report from the Brussels Morning Post says Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reveals the discovery that is now shaking the entire EU. They found The European Commission has been providing funding to non-governmental organizations (NGOS) Lobbying for the policies of former EU Commissioner Frans Timmer and influencing politicians to push his “green deal”. It has now been found that the European Commission has provided €1 billion in public funding to green NGOs and lobbyists to promote EU Commission policies.
“We require transparency in green NGOs. The European Commission must not use taxpayer funds to fund research from affiliated NGOs that can easily tailor results to the Commission's agenda. That's simply wrong The research must be professional and independent. European funds should never be used to serve political factions or ideologies, nor should they manipulate members of the European Parliament or the public.”
Commenting on these revelations, Michael Laurier Symphony environmentsaid: “This political manipulation undermines the credibility of NGOs that have always opposed plastic. So far, we have never been able to understand how the EU calls “oxidation” against what they call without any impact assessment or socioeconomic analysis Plastics impose a ban and there is no file from the European Chemical Drug Agency (ECHA) without any justification for any such ban. For any such ban. We have legal advice that the ban does not apply to “oxygen degradation” plastics, which is another but people are confused about it.”
“Political manipulation also explains the actions of the EU Court, when we were trying to deal with this confusion. Other courts in the world will dismiss our expert evidence because we paid the price for it (maybe they think Intertek and other international testing rooms are happy to do nothing. ) while accepting the Commission's Eunomia evidence paid. In addition, other courts in the world will accept that lawmakers must act on the best evidence available and then for the Commission's premature termination of European chemical companies on science of biodegradable plastic technology Premature termination of the study.”
“As a result of this political manipulation, thousands of tons of plastic packaging per month fled into the European environment and its coastal waters, where it will lie or float for decades. It will continue to do so until the legislation is clarified- Unless the EU bans plastic completely, it would be a very stupid thing to do. The Symphony has tried to explain to the EU for more than a decade that the way to reduce pollution is not to ban plastic, which is the best material, but to improve waste management and biodegradable plastics, As a fail-safe mechanism, if it does enter an open environment, it will biodegrade quickly. ”
The Brussels newspaper report continued: “Many of these lobbying contracts were classified, making them inaccessible, and only during audits conducted by the auditors' courts did some of them reveal them. Others were exposed because of whistleblowers – these non-governmental The people in the organization who decide to speak out. Every year, suspicious research aimed at justifying the need for green transactions, spending €2.6 billion each year.”
“No surprise, the scandal is related to the name of Frans Timmermans, who often promised an impact assessment but failed to deliver them, or ended up researching based on data provided by NGOs. . These reports lack reliable data, thorough analysis and reliable sources.”
“It is clear that the architect of the Green Agreement has pushed a strong ideological agenda within the committee, despite opposition. His influence is too great. He tries to push his own at all costs,” Laurel concluded. Green policies without considering their impact on the European economy and living standards. Shockingly, one-third of NGOs currently do not disclose who funded them or who built them.”
Brussels reported the story in the morning, which they called the EU's biggest scandal in 20 years. They wrote:
“A few days ago, the Dutch newspaper de Telegraaf discovered the discovery that is now shaking. European Union. The European Commission has long supported financially in support of non-governmental organizations (NGOS) lobbying for former EU Commissioner Frans Timmermans' green policies. The task of lobbyists funded by the EU budget is to influence politicians to advance the green deal. This is proven by a secret contract obtained by the Dutch newspaper. ”
