President Trump revoked 19 execution orders, directives and regulations signed by President Joe Biden, including some related to gender, climate change and labor practices. [emphasis, links added]
Some Biden-era orders that Mr Trump rolled back on Friday include Eliminate the use of the Defense Production Act to promote climate initiatives such as authorization of electric heat pumps and solar panelsdirecting federal agencies to promote unionization as part of employment, prioritize workplace safety programs and improve gender ideology in foreign diplomacy.
Mr. Trump also reversed his predecessor's 2021 executive order, raising the minimum wage for federal contractors to $15 an hour.
Mr Biden's September 2022 order directs the government to invest more money in the biotech industry to develop materials for clean energy generation.
A White House profile, issued along with executive orders, blows up Mr Biden’s orders to enhance “radical gender ideology,” “promote ‘his green new scam’, impose “unnecessary industry regulations” and incorporate federal resources into radical biotechnology and biomanufacturing programs under the guise of environmental policy.”
“I am sure the following additional revocations must be made to promote the U.S. policy to restore common sense to the federal government and unlock the potential of American citizens,” Mr. Trump wrote in his order to revoke the rules.
Since taking office, Mr. Trump has revoked execution orders, more than the total number of orders signed by Mr. Biden in his first year as president.the White House Profile says.
On his first day of office, Mr. Trump canceled 78 Biden-era execution lawsuits, execution orders and presidential memorandums in more than 200 executive lawsuits.
