Will Nigel Lawson be happy with Kemi Badenoch's “net-zero skepticism” – Watt is happy with it?

    No one knows

We will have to wait and see if this is just Kemi's window dressing or the first odd number in net zero armor.

The real problem, however, is that Miliband will cause so much damage by 2030 that it will be impossible for us to reverse it in our lives.

London, March 18, 2025 – The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF) welcomes Kemi Badenoch's speech on her self-declared “net zero skepticism” and the need for climate policy reform.

Benny Peiser, the outgoing director of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, said:

“Nigel Lawson would be happy with Kemi Badenoch’s excellent speech, and Kemi Badenoch could have drafted verbatim.

“For 15 years, since the late Lawson and I launched the GWPF, we have been warning members of Congress and ministers relentlessly that the unilateral climate policy in the UK will inevitably lead to rising energy prices, resulting in higher costs for life, manufacturing and international declines.

“As predicted, these costs have been rising dramatically. As a result, there is growing public opposition and hostility to the more expensive energy bills, deindustrialization and subsequent cost of living crises.

“Kemi Badenoch announced the need for radical policy reforms that may be 15 years late, but it is no later than the economic and social future of Britain.”
