The House's Oversight and Accountability Committee has a significant study on natural gas, and as of Wednesday, the Biden administration withheld its 2024 crackdown on liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that Biden (DOE) “deliberately buried” the final draft version of a study that evaluated the impact of growth in liquefied natural gas exports in 2023, due to concerns it would not support the reasons for the Biden administration’s decision to unilaterally freeze LNG export approval in January 2024. The announcement on Wednesday came after Biden Doe had previously asked Biden Doe to provide a 2023 study of the burial that was allegedly present until this week for review, but Biden administration officials said no full LNG study was conducted in 2023.
“Biden administration officials have claimed to follow science’, abandoned it to undermine U.S.-made energy production, appease climate activists and achieved the expected results. As secretary Granholm, Granholm seeks to undermine U.S. LNG industry, Biden’s Biden Energy Department of Biden Energy Department will compete with the American people to push the Remant in their environment, James (Remant) is a well-known citizen, and the citizens of the Republic will be enabled, and fairness is fair. The committee chairperson said in a statement. “President Biden and his administration will be the most opaque in history. I thank President Trump and Secretary Wright for providing the transparency the American people deserve and taking action to restore America's energy advantages. ” (Related: Exclusive: Biden administrator “deliberately bury” inconvenient research to justify major energy crackdowns, sources said)

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee also released a timetable on Wednesday that highlighted the research its members sought but did not award to the Biden administration, as well as former assistant energy secretary Brad Crabtree's December 2024 testimony that “a complete study in 2023 does not exist.”
Biden Doe effectively completed the final draft version of the LNG impact study around the end of September 2023 and was ready to show the iteration to competitive officials. The version of the study concluded that an increase in U.S. LNG exports actually reduce global emissions compared to other cases.
This conclusion is inconsistent with former energy minister Jennifer Granholm’s view of the final version of the study, as she believes any increase in LNG exports will lead to higher global greenhouse gas emissions.
In late September 2023, an official from the Biden administration commented on the final draft version to tell others to stop working until further notice, although other languages in the documentation say the final version will be released around the end of September 2023, before. This research version has never been published publicly.
“The Department of Energy has learned that former secretary Granholm and Biden's White House have intentionally buried a large amount of data and have released a skewed study to discredit the benefits of U.S. liquefied natural gas,” a DOE source previously told DCNF. “They prioritize their political ambitions over the interests of the American people, and the government has intentionally deceived the American public and advanced an agenda that undermines American energy security, the environment and American life.”
Other news organizations, including Bloomberg News and Fox News figures, confirmed the initial DCNF report on burial research on Wednesday.
