“Politicians and Engos Gaslight public believe that Alaska has a magical thermostat that can stop erosion, reverse damage to fisheries and solve all other disputes as long as they scream 'climate change'!”
Climate shock is a tired way to get what you want, not unlike a child losing his temper in the grain aisle. Apart from begging for froot loops, panic- alarmists (desperate to push their mission orders) panic-panicists with more bureaucracy, heavier regulations and political energy “solutions” than the public, not the public.
That's OK, these plans aren't really “save the earth.” They are indeed forcing expensive policies, expanding government control and raising energy prices, while making people poor by their perception of the future.
Here in Alaska, the opportunity is to “read the room” and dial back into climate exaggerated and force energy transitions. Senator Elvi Gray-Jackson’s Senate Bill 120 this month is not the case, starting with its 25-word title:
The bill to establish the Alaska Climate Change Emergency Response Committee; and is related to the powers and responsibilities of the Alaska Climate Change Emergency Response Committee.
The bill begins by adding a portion of unmodified laws, claiming that the legislature found “a state of emergency because climate change poses a threat to the nation, state economies, traditional lifestyles, fish and gaming populations, and natural ecosystems.”
Although legislators do have the right to formulate policies, they do not have the right to declare emergency situations, but have not prevented them from making dramatic declarations, they lack the power to enforce the law, and hope that the drama will push the agenda forward.
The bill established New The 15-member committee under the governor ensures the representation of municipal leaders across the state. The committee consists of six State Council representatives, who are composed of offices and nine municipal representatives.
According to the sponsor statement:
The Commission’s objectives are to advance various energy options, adaptive infrastructure and reduction strategies; and to monitor climate impacts. The Commission will live in harmony with rural and tribal organizations through grant writing and assistance programs.
Trying to regulate with less than 0.1% of the global contribution is like forbidden from spoons to prevent obesity – completely missing this, completely ineffective, and guaranteed to impress only the most ignorant. However, politicians and the Engos Gaslight public believe that Alaska has a magical thermostat that can stop erosion, reverse the fishing industry (such as trawls) caused by destructive fishing habits like trawls, and solve all other problems that happen outside, as long as they press a simple button and scream “Climate change!”
Here is the ultimate code of political deception: print labels on any complex problem, ignore actual causes (or solutions), and pretend more regulations, more bureaucracy and more taxpayer money will magically control nature itself.
this Real question
The real unprecedented threat to Alaska people is not climate change. It's a rogue, unorganized legislature, like a squirrel on the crack, pieced together the last remnants of the green new deal before the political winds turn. Even if the Trump administration works overtime to tear down bureaucratic insanity, Democrats, all independents, and even some Republican lawmakers in Alaska are in a state of full panic, eager to lock in radical climate policies, and they can still.
Worse, fanatical climate alert organizations such as the Alaska Venture Fund, Earthjustice and the Alaska Center will have clear advantages in shaping new climate policies for the future. Given that EarthJustice stated that the goal is to “end the extraction and combustion of fossil fuels”, this is a particularly disturbing prospect.
Senate Bill 120 grants the committee “consulting and collaboration” with “public or private, organizations and groups” interested in the effects of climate change and response symptoms”. That’s crazy. It’s a dream come true for Green Hall – an unelected committee that has the power to use the guise of “emergency” to require the rubber stamp of any radical policy.
This is not policymaking, but the loudest and most politically connected voice in the climate industrial complex. It seems like Harris/Walz defeated Trump/Vance and John Podesta’s rushing force was trapped in Fairbanks.
Governor Dunleavy must refuse
The fate of SB 120 is undecided after two rounds of public testimony and overwhelming written testimony from the opposition. Does the Alaska legislature respect the people or the climate elite in the ongoing evidence of climate exaggeration (here), and other parts of the country, if not the world, move in the opposite direction?
If the bill passes, will Deng say it be against this blatant attempt to put climate hysteria in state law? It would be a more rational choice than cementing his legacy as part of climate worship, allowing bureaucrats to seize more power under the guise of an “emergency” that they have no right to declare.
in conclusion
In 1775, Samuel Adams, the father of the American Revolution, wrote: “It doesn’t require a majority to prevail. These words define the opportunity to repel energy in Alaska today.
