Amazing news: We just received new reports about your donations to support our extreme weather coverage and we have surpassed our $10,000 target. Every donation we receive can help us protect more people, so we want to set a new goal: Can we get $20,000 from midnight tonight tonight?
I am honored to write about the storm of Yale’s climate connection with my long-time colleague Jeff Masters, who continues to have a legendary career in this new era and continues to have a huge impact. Jeff reported in March that Doge's staff layoffs at NOAA Hurricane Hunter staff provided much-needed, in-depth clarity to emerging threats. Within a week of publication, flight crews were restored, meaning the National Hurricane Center could continue to use data collected by these hurricane hunters to predict when and where the hurricane will land.
Jeff and I know that with your help we will be able to generate life-saving coverage and will get more people this year.
That's why we started this campaign. Would you consider becoming a monthly donor today?
To thank you for your support, when you become a monthly donor, you will be invited to an exclusive monthly conversation with Jeff Masters and Jeff Masters later this summer. Today is the last day to be eligible.

If you can become a monthly donor for $15 a month, it will have a huge impact in maintaining our hurricane coverage. We are not directly funded by Yale University, so all types of donors are essential to keeping our work done. Every support will make a difference!
When you go to the donation page, make sure you have selected the “Sustain Gift” option and remember that if you set your donation to anonymous, we won't have your information to invite you to a zoom conversation.
If you would rather donate through a check, put it on “Yale University” and write “Climate Connection for Yale University” on the check. Mail it to: Yale Yale Yale, Yale, ATTN: Office of Development, 205 Foreground Street, New Haven, CT 06511
Yale is nonprofit 501(c)3. Its federal tax number is 06-0646973.
