In the leadership of hurricane season, we ask you to donate to support our reporting on hurricanes, heat waves, wildfires and other life-threatening extreme weather events. Our goal is to raise at least $10,000. You crushed this goal, guys: Nearly 400 people stepped up to help, contributing $37,000!

- If a hurricane threatens our shores this summer and fall, you can come here to gain coverage you trust.
- We'll be here to help you understand the situation of FEMA, NOAA and other agencies under the Trump administration.
- We are able to keep our community alerts more secure on extreme weather roads (whether in English or Spanish).

Here's the news that really powers: the median is $50, and 84% of donations are below $100. Multiply the number of our ongoing supporters per month by six, which helps us plan to reach and retain superstar writers. We are very grateful to all those who signed up to maintain donors. During our May campaign, donors came from 35 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Outside the United States, our donors come from 10 countries, including Canada, the Bahamas and Germany.
