Temperatures will climb slightly Sunday into the upper 80s and lower 90s, with the heat index in the upper to mid-90s. No rain is expected around the Washington metro area. Clouds will increase overnight, with some rainfall by sunrise. The Monday morning commute is not expected to be affected.
Temperatures will be mild, with a chance of showers and storms Monday afternoon. Any serious threat is minor, but gusty winds, frequent lightning and heavy rain are possible in stronger storms.
Similar to Monday, another round of less severe showers and storms will develop Tuesday afternoon. Helpful rainfall will be a welcome sight.
The wet weather pattern continues on Wednesday, with a greater chance of showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures around the Washington area also continued to be above 80 degrees.
