Footage captured by a CCTV camera at the One Stop center showed six masked men entering the center and taking away the girl.
Six people wearing masks scaled the wall of a refugee center in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and took away a 17-year-old girl while the female guard at the facility was sleeping, police said on Sunday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Rainwal told PTI that the incident took place at around 2 am on Saturday at a shelter home in Kampu area of the city.
He said footage captured by a CCTV camera at the One Stop center showed six masked men entering the center and taking away the girl.
An FIR has been registered and some suspects are being questioned, the official said.
Police are also investigating whether some staff at the facility colluded with the intruders.
Another police officer said the main female guard at the shelter's entrance was caught sleeping in the CCTV footage.
