There are plenty of chances for rain the rest of the week. There is a daily risk of flash flooding and gusty winds. Highs will remain in the 70s and 80s near seasonal averages.
There is a marginal risk of excessive rainfall on Monday and Tuesday. This means the possibility of localized flooding cannot be ruled out. If rainfall is heavy, be aware of standing water on area roads.

The latest drought monitoring shows that most hometowns are in severe drought. Much of the Shenandoah Valley is experiencing extreme drought, with parts of Highland and Pocahontas counties also affected.
