NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – Some of us got a lot of rain this weekend, and others not so much. But there are plenty of other chances to see rain throughout the week.
I'm not expecting any widespread steady or heavy rainfall this week, but there will be scattered showers on and off throughout the day.
today
Please carry an umbrella with you and keep an eye on the skies as showers and storms are expected this afternoon. Just like this weekend, not everyone will get rain, but everyone needs to be prepared for it. There is no severe weather threat, but we may experience some downpours with thunderstorms. Today's highs will top out in the mid 80s.
Most of the rain will taper off tonight, with lows near 70 degrees.
tomorrow
More scattered showers and storms are expected throughout the day, but there is still no threat of any severe weather to worry about. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 80s.
Midweek
This unsettled pattern continues into the middle of the week, with some hit or miss showers and storms on Wednesday and Thursday. I can't guarantee it will rain for everyone these two days, but just like at the beginning of the week, keep your umbrella handy. There won't be much change in terms of temperatures, with highs expected to remain above 80 degrees.
weekends and weekends
Rain is still forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but overall rainfall amounts will be reduced across the midstate. Showers or thunderstorms will continue into the weekend and into the week, but we don't need to consider canceling our outdoor plans.
We'll end the week with highs in the mid-80s, but fall back to the mid-90s on both Saturday and Sunday.
