Above: The latest forecast update from the Severe Weather Center 9. Free WSOC-TV Weather App.
forecast:
- Scattered downpours taper off early Monday morning and we should see a lull in more fires until later this afternoon.
- The biggest threat will again be heavy rainfall that could lead to flooding. However, this will not be a widespread problem, just a case of individual areas experiencing the heaviest rainfall.
- Temperatures stay in the mid-80s with plenty of humidity.
- This pattern will continue throughout the week, with the heaviest rainfall possible on Wednesday.
- This pattern may change this weekend, but rain is still expected.
- The good news is that the rainfall is very beneficial and will help alleviate the drought problem. We also don’t think there will be any serious heat in the short term.
