Good morning! Happy Tuesday. There will be showers and thunderstorms in the area to start the day, but they should be mostly gone by 9am. While another shower/storm is possible this afternoon, it should be fairly isolated. Things did get a little rocky on Thursday, however.

These showers are a response to an area of low pressure and associated warm front passing to our south. The heaviest rainfall will still be in our southeast this morning. Please note that there may be some waterspouts heading toward Nantucket early this morning.
Highs today will be in the upper 70s to low 80s and will remain wet. There may also be a chance of showers or storms this afternoon.
Any additional rainfall should be isolated.

Showers in the evening and mostly cloudy tonight with lows in the upper 60s. More showers are possible late into the night.

Another area of low pressure and associated warm front will move to our south Wednesday morning. Additional heavy rain and storms are possible, particularly along the south coast. Rain may continue into the early hours tomorrow.
There will be lots of clouds on Wednesday and highs will be in the upper 70s.
Looking to the future
Thursday afternoon will be warm and humid, with additional showers/storms possible. Looking ahead, drier air is expected Friday into the weekend.
