Temperatures are rising and we will be near record highs by Thursday!
Haze will also appear in the coming days as wildfire smoke blankets the Front Range, the Denver metro area and the Eastern Plains.
Smoke from wildfires burning in the Pacific Northwest and even Canada is making its way into Colorado. This will have a significant impact on air quality, as an air quality alert for multiple pollutants will remain in place until past 4pm today for much of the Front Range.
Not only will there be high concentrations of smog particles around metropolitan areas, but there will also be high ozone concentrations. If you suffer from asthma or any type of respiratory problem, stay indoors as much as possible.
After a hot break, we'll be back in the 90s for the rest of the week. Temperatures will be below 90 degrees today and will get hotter tomorrow.
Wildfire smoke will gradually dissipate on Wednesday and temperatures will be warmer, with highs reaching the mid-to-upper 90s.
More storms and showers are possible in the afternoon starting Friday and continuing into the weekend.
