HAZZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – Tuesday is another day with high temperatures in the mid-80s and much needed rain across the region. We harvested 0.77 inches in Jackson yesterday, which is good news, but we need a little more to give us a surplus this month.
headline News:
– Increased chance of storms Wednesday
-Weak cold front passing by
-A throwback to the 1980s.
discuss:
After more rain (albeit light) falls across eastern Kentucky on Tuesday, we will continue to monitor conditions over the next few days as the chance for rain and thunderstorms remains in the forecast. The good news is that those who did see the rain got soaked. Unfortunately, not everyone saw the rain, so some places remained dry. The good news is that we do have a chance for rain left in the forecast for the next few days.
Looking to the future:
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected over the next few days. There is a small risk of excessive rainfall today and Wednesday and Thursday. Like the past few days, localized flooding is certainly not out of the question. We will stay warm and humid with highs in the mid 80s.
