LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Thick clouds and muggy dew points bring us another unstable season theme Tuesday. A few storms popped up in the late afternoon, but not everyone was caught in the rain. We will see this trend continue into Wednesday.
Sporadic activity will continue into Tuesday night. Those lucky enough to catch brief showers will expect 1/4 inch of rapid rainfall.
Temperatures will once again drop into the mid-60s under mostly cloudy skies. Wednesday will start the same way, with clouds blocking the sun and a muggy dew point right there.
We'll have this again Wednesday afternoon with unstable air causing a few isolated storms. The chance of rain continues into Wednesday night, but not everyone will be lining up for showers.
Temperatures will once again drop into the upper 80s. More drying time and a little sunshine keep temperatures expected on the higher side.
A weak cold front will bring more scattered rain and storms Thursday. Before the front, it still feels very stuffy. We will see a drying trend this week.
