Justice Arvind Mallapa issued a formal order directing closure of all primary, upper, secondary, CBSE, ICSE board recognized schools.
In preparation for Kanwar Yatra 2024, all schools and colleges in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh will remain closed from July 26 to August 2. , ICSE during this period, board recognized schools, madrassas, degree colleges, DIET and technical colleges.
Similar measures have been taken in Uttarakhand's Haridwar district where schools for classes 1 to 12 as well as Anganwadi centers will remain closed from July 27 to August 2 in view of the ongoing Kanwar fair.
Moreover, to ensure the safety of students during Kanwar Yatra, the authorities in Varanasi, Indore and Ujjain have revised the school timetable. Schools in these areas will be closed every Monday throughout the season and will hold classes on Sundays.
