Monsoon Session Live: Discussions on the Union Budget 2024-25, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on July 23, will resume in both Houses of Parliament on Thursday.
Discussions on the Jammu and Kashmir Budget 2024-25 were also tabled on Tuesday and will continue today as well.
Opposition lawmakers protested against the budget in the House of Commons and went on strike in the House of Federation on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister Kiren Rijiju urged the opposition parties to insist on discussing the budget during the budget session of Parliament on Thursday.
Union ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Jitendra Singh, Arjun Ram Meghwal and Kirtivardhan Singh will submit the papers today.
The parliamentary monsoon begins on July 22 and is expected to end on August 12.
