TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) – The monsoon won't be as active through the weekend as high pressure approaches southern Arizona.
This high-pressure system will bring dry air back to the area and reduce atmospheric instability.
Even so, scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop in the afternoon, with some continuing into the night.
The best chances for thunderstorms will be south and southeast of Tucson.
High temperatures will remain below 100 degrees through the weekend and early next week.
I wish you a happy and safe weekend!
