As discussed on the Freakonomics Podcast, many U.S. cities are becoming increasingly expensive due to a variety of factors, including the inability of supply to adequately meet demand for housing. As soon as next year, you may not be able to afford to buy a home in your dream location, or even where you already live.
Insurance comparison website Zebra has identified 10 U.S. cities where housing is expected to become more unaffordable by 2025. Zebra then compared this to the projected U.S. median home price in 2025 ($481,692.98) to see which cities failed to meet affordability standards.
Only cities that were not previously unaffordable make our top 10 list.
