These clouds may reduce the chance of strong or severe storms Sunday afternoon and evening, but any round could produce severe weather.
Dutra said the biggest threat Sunday morning will be high winds, and the tornado threat will be greater but still low in the afternoon. Two rounds of storms may also produce hail.
The risk of severe storms is higher in the southern part of the state Saturday night into Sunday morning as a strong system is expected to move east into southern Illinois overnight.
Light showers are possible Monday and Tuesday afternoon, but calm conditions are expected for the rest of the week.
