Saturday night update: If you liked the weather on Saturday, it's bound to be even better on Sunday! Dry air will continue to seep into the area due to the presence of high pressure in the Northeast. While there's still a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms in the evening, most of us can look forward to a day of sunshine and less humidity. Highest temperatures will continue to be below average, with temperatures near 90 degrees.
Heading into next week, a familiar summer pattern returns. Rain and storms will become more widespread and severe on Monday, so we will be keeping a close eye on the potential for flooding. Temperatures will remain in the mid-80s due to increased cloud cover. By mid-week, the weather should start to dry out, with temperatures gradually warming back into the mid-90s by the weekend. However, we will still see some afternoon thunderstorms as part of a typical summer pattern.
