So one thing to make sure that you do, during a heat wave, is wear cool, light-colored clothing so that if you get stuck outside, you're already wearing cool clothing and have enough water in your car , so that you have a way to stay hydrated. Now, most of the time you don't think this will happen to you, just to be safe. The current temperature is 69 degrees and the air quality is acceptable. Even though the air is now filled with smoke, dust, pollen and mold, the air quality is no worse than it was yesterday. Our temperatures right now are in the upper 60s, lower 70s. Monday's heat index reached 98 degrees, with a range of 105 to 110. Now we are under an excessive heat watch. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a heat warning on Tuesday and Wednesday. We expect an early low of 100 on both days. This is the critical 80 degrees. Wednesday morning, there was no way to cool down without air conditioning. Then Thursday, the heat wave ends. There may be some thunderstorms Thursday morning into Thursday morning, but there will still be a Category 96 thunderstorm Thursday. Then the temperature will return next weekend
