There's hard work and some fun there. The weather will be nicer, both indoors and out, for at least the next few days. here. High temperatures are now expected. Random factor time. It's possible to work outdoors on Monday morning, so I give Monday's outdoor work a random factor of five. But we have a heat warning for Monday from 1pm to 8pm, when temperatures are likely to be in the top 100 for the Lincoln metro and the south and east. Today we have low temperatures in the 90s and a high of 71, so it's officially a hot day, slightly above average, but hotter weather is still on the way. There is no moisture today. We have a lot of them this month and this year. This is a view of the city we captured with our camera at the Lewis and Clark Monument. The view from the north side of Council Bluffs makes No. 83 feel like No. 88. Lincoln warm Omaha warm. Beatrice was even warmer. Dew point below 70 seconds. So you know it's not going to cool down that much. A bit of southeasterly wind, unless there's some rain around the area, but the Super Doppler Seven radar is showing light rainfall at the moment. There are a few showers and storms near and north of Denison Carroll, now generally around the Des Moines area. Not too far to the west of us. There are a few scattered showers in southern South Dakota. One of these may bunch up overnight, especially north of Omaha and then into western Iowa. Not impossible. We could see something, but I wouldn't predict it. The sun was shining on the road, and that hazy sunshine was there again, and there was that smoke in the sky, because the smoke was coming from the west, and then there were the wildfires in Canada. Any thunderstorms that come to our east in the morning will be interesting to see if this little front falls here or stalls to our north. Either way, it won't have much of an impact on our temperatures tomorrow night. There may be a few showers and thunderstorms approaching the area from the northwest, but Tuesday looks like the sun will shine tonight and it's really getting hot and humid here with a high of 72 degrees sunny to partly cloudy. Rain isn't impossible, but it's highly unlikely. Noon warmup on the 84th, then 5:00 on the 92nd. Monday was hot and humid, but not as bad as Tuesday and Wednesday, we did feel a bit overheated, with the heat index reaching around 110 at times in the afternoon, with highs reaching 97 both days. So it's difficult. That's why we highlight severe weather in red. There will be showers or thunderstorms moving through here. Wednesday night early Thursday. It won't cool down drastically, but it won't be too hot in there. Thursday. We need moisture.
