Looking back at the storm chances to start the week, there will be plenty of drying time next weekend. However, storms are possible mid-week.
Tuesday will be warm and humid with partly cloudy skies, with highs reaching the 80s. There is a very small chance that a storm or two will move through the area, but the likelihood is so low that plans should not be canceled.
Storms may return Tuesday night and continue throughout the day Thursday. Upper atmospheric patterns appear to be more favorable for large-scale storms in our area Wednesday into Wednesday night. Therefore, this is the time of year when our area has the best chance of seeing storms.
When it comes to the track and timing of the storm, it's too early to discuss any details. If a storm occurs during the day or night, the heat and humidity can certainly lead to severe weather. Watch closely throughout Wednesday as this will likely be the hottest day of the week and may be the best chance for large, potentially severe storms.
The chance of storms is lower on Thursday, but still worth keeping an eye on as it will be another warm and humid day. Again, it’s too early to work out any specific details.
Heading into next weekend, the weather looks dry with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the high 80s. Dew points are likely to remain high, so another summer-like weekend is coming.
