Forecast discussion:
Good Monday evening,
It will be sunny today with scattered showers and a few thunder. Tonight, we will see a developing storm group to the west dive southeast toward the state, with the potential for storms and lows near 70 degrees. Weaker activity is likely to move north into our area.
The chance for showers and storms remains early Tuesday, with some sunshine expected and highs returning to normal levels in the upper 80s. There will be an increased chance of rain and storms in our area on Wednesday as highs return to the mid-90s on a muggy day. Temperatures will peak on Thursday as humidity will also be high, with a greater chance of scattered storms later in the day, with highs in the low 90s.
Rain and storms will still be in the forecast for Friday as we will have a weak system pushing toward our area with highs still in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Lasts until Saturday.
Behind this system we should see clearing Saturday night and lows in the mid to upper 60s. Sunday is expected to bring more sunshine and dry air, with highs reaching over 80 degrees. It will be mostly sunny when work begins next week, with highs in the mid-90s.
