CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Happy Taco Tuesday!
what you need to know
The Coastal Bay will see haze again on Tuesday afternoon, and the culprit is once again Saharan dust. Expect beautiful sunset skies with amplified orange and red hues. But dust can be irritating to the respiratory tract, so if you suffer from asthma or have respiratory sensitivities, it's a good idea to limit your time outdoors. Otherwise, the effects of Saharan dust will suppress the chance of rain for two reasons: dry air in the atmosphere above, and too much particulate matter for raindrop growth.
Apart from the “Saharan dust”, another sunny, warm and humid afternoon is expected. Coastal communities will peak in the mid-80s, while inland communities will peak in the 90s. Breezy southeasterly winds will keep humidity levels high, while “feel like” temperatures will reach triple digits.
