Chinhat police are investigating the matter. The FIR report stated that the accused issued threats to prevent the branch from functioning. The suspects allegedly warned that they would not allow the RSS branch to continue operating in the area.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya condemned the attack and said strict action would be taken after an investigation into the attack on the RSS branch. He further said that measures to enforce stricter laws on such issues should be supported.
The incident echoes a similar attack reported in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, where an RSS worker was attacked by a group of people in June. Vijay Soni of the RSS said the attack took place during a branch meeting held at a park inside the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. After receiving the news, the police immediately rushed to the scene. They intervened and successfully defused the situation by mediating between the parties involved.
