A 24-year-old woman was allegedly raped by two men, including her childhood friend, in Hyderabad, police said on Tuesday. The woman, who had recently found a job as a software engineer, said her childhood friend suggested celebrating her feat and the two went to a restaurant-cum-bar in Vanasthalipuram. This friend is the girl's school classmate.
According to the woman's complaint, she and her friends were drinking at a restaurant-cum-bar in Vanasthalipuram, after which the man took her to a room in the restaurant and raped her while she was drunk. The man's cousin then entered the room and raped her.
The two men then left the location and the woman called her brother to tell him what happened, the complaint adds.
The police registered a case based on the woman's complaint and sent her to hospital for examination.
Police said efforts are on to nab the accused and further investigation is underway.
