Delhi Traffic Live Updates: Heavy rains lashed parts of the National Capital Region of Delhi on Wednesday night, leading to massive traffic jams and flooding in several areas of the national capital. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the rainy weather in the national capital and surrounding areas is likely to continue till August 5.
In view of the heavy rain, the Delhi Traffic Police issued a notification stating that the movement of vehicles was affected due to water accumulation under the Savitri flyover on the carriageway from Chiraghadri to Nehru Place on the Outer Ring Road.
Traffic was also affected in other areas, including Delhi, Kashmir Gate and Rajinder Nagar in Ruchin, as roads were inundated due to heavy rainfall in the National Capital Region.

The IMD issued a red alert in Delhi on Wednesday and heavy rainfall is expected. According to the meteorological agency, rainy weather may continue until August 5.
