A Delhi court on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail order of IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, who was accused of cheating and forging documents.
“The investigating agency needs to widen the scope of its investigation. The agency has been directed to identify recommended candidates [by the UPSC] “In recent times, persons who are availing benefits beyond the age limit allowed under OBC quota and persons who are not entitled to Benchmark Disability Benefits despite being ineligible,” the court order said.
During the hearing, Hedka told the court she was targeted after making a sexual harassment complaint against a police officer.
Additional Sessions Judge Devender Kumar Jangala on Wednesday reserved the order after hearing arguments on an application filed by Khedkar, who claimed she faced “imminent threat of arrest”.
Prosecutors opposed the application, saying she had “cheated the system”.
