Joker still doesn't seem to understand that no one in the world has commercialized carbon capture at scale yet, although he blames it on Britain has turned its ambitious carbon capture ambitions into a dog’s dinner.
He also doesn't seem to realize that we don't have a gas-fired power plant that could be equipped with carbon capture, even if it were operational. In other words, we would have to spend tens of billions of dollars building new combined cycle gas turbines.
He also doesn't seem to realize that CCS is extremely energy inefficient and therefore requires more natural gas than a traditional gas-fired power plant. This is unwise when we want to reduce natural gas imports.
He also doesn't seem to realize that electricity produced through CCS gas-fired power plants is extremely expensive.
Could the Daily Telegraph replace him with a journalist who knows what he's talking about?
