Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan.
Jaya Bachchan stood firm and sought an apology as protests against Dhankar grew and opposition lawmakers led by Congress leader Sonia Gandhi walked out.
Vice President and Lok Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhakhar on Friday lost his cool and well-educated Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Jaya Amitabh Bachchan , as the veteran actor questioned his tone in the House during the ongoing monsoon session. The heated exchanges sparked protests from opposition members, who eventually went on strike.
When Jaya Bachchan was invited to speak in the House, she began her speech by saying: “Mai Jaya Amitabh Bachchan wanted to say, I am an artist, I understand body language, I understand expression.. (I'm an entertainer, I understand body language and expressions.”

She continued, “Forgive me for saying this, but your tone…” She then expressed dissatisfaction with Danka's tone and said, “We are colleagues, sir. You may be sitting in a chair, but that doesn't mean You will educate us.
Responding to the MP, an angry Dhankar said: “Jaya ji, please take your seat. Jaya ji, you have earned a great reputation. You know, an actor has to obey the director. Every day I don't want to repeat. I don't want to go to school. You Are you talking about my tone?”
He added: “You may be a celebrity, but you have to know etiquette. Do you think you are the only one who can bring fame to the family?
Bachchan, however, stood his ground and sought an apology. “I need an apology from the president,” she said as protests against Dhankar grew and opposition lawmakers led by Congress leader Sonia Gandhi walked out.

Later, in an interview with the media, Bachchan said: “I object to the tone of the Chairman. We are not primary school students. Some of us are senior citizens. I am disturbed by the tone, especially when the leader of the opposition stands up to speak, he switches off off the microphone. How could you do that?
Referring to incidents of switching off microphones and refusing to allow the Leader of the Opposition to speak, she said: “You have to allow the Leader of the Opposition to speak… I mean every time using unparliamentary words, I don't want to say that in all of you In front of you. You're such a pain in the ass, 'Buddhiheen.' He said you might be a celebrity, and I'm not asking him to care.
“I mean I'm an MP. This is my fifth term. I know what I'm talking about. The way things are spoken in Parliament today is unprecedented. I want to apologize,” she added.
