An 18-year-old man recorded a TikTok video with his friends using a gun stolen from Faridpur police station.
An 18-year-old boy named Palash Hossain was shot dead while recording a TikTok video with three friends using weapons stolen from the Sardarpur police station in Faridpur.
According to Bangladeshi news website Prothom Alo, the incident occurred on August 6 in a room at his grandfather's house.
Palash succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital in Dhaka around 6 am on Monday.
Palash was the son of Mosharraf Hossain, who lived in Atarshi in Sadarpur upazila ) village has a gourmet restaurant. He did not go to school and worked in his father's hotel in Atashmore.
According to neighbors and villagers, on the morning of August 6, Palash was working in his father's hotel when two of his friends, both students of Class XI of Government College, Sardarpur, called him out.
Later, they went to the house of Palash's uncle Muslim Matubal in Arai Rashi village of the same union.
On August 5, the trio obtained a shotgun stolen from the Sardarpur police station and decided to make a TikTok video in a room at home. While recording, they began pretending to aim their weapons at each other's heads. Unfortunately, they accidentally fired and the bullet hit Palash in the head. He fought for life for six days and died on August 12.
After hearing the gunshots, Palash's family rushed out of the room and found Palash covered in blood.
