People in this village are engaged in agriculture. They worship Lord Shiva for generations and celebrate Shivaratri every year. It is said that to this day, eating meat is still not allowed in the village. Villagers said that they have been following this custom since the time of their ancestors. They claim they don't even eat eggs.

Prakash, a bus operator from Dheenatty Nadavarai village, said in an interview with Local18: “Until now, we have been eating natural food. In the past ten years, the impact of chemicals has increased, so there has been a situation where chemicals have to be consumed. Until now So far, we only eat vegetarian food. We are very healthy by eating vegetarian food.
In addition to him, a young man named Mano from Dinati Nadawale village claimed: “We are still eating vegetarian food. As far as I know, this custom has been going on for seven or eight generations. We worship Shivalinga, wearing Rudraksha nuts around the neck is said to be a vegetarian food by the people of this village even if they live in other districts and states like Bangalore and Chennai.
