According to reports, a tragedy occurred in Akbarpur Tigri village in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, where two young girls were poisoned to death by their stepmother. The incident took place in Chandpur tehsil area on Wednesday when their grandfather was in Moradabad. The girls were reportedly poisoned while drinking milk and died in agony.
The tragedy occurred when the girls' grandfather, who had been looking after them and their brother, was traveling to Moradabad. During his absence, the girls went to play at their stepmother's house, where the poisoning is believed to have occurred. The village was filled with shock and grief after learning of the children's deaths. Local authorities were alerted and both stepmother Nazreen and father Farman were taken into police custody. The girl's body has been sent for autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation.
Farman, a resident of Akbarpur Tigri, was previously married to a woman named Dilshan for ten years and has two daughters and a son. Two years ago, Farman divorced Dilshan and remarried Nazrin from the same village. Farman and Nazreen have a child together. After the divorce, Farman's father Nasruddin took on the responsibility of raising the children from his first marriage.
On the day of the incident, Farman went to Moradabad to buy medicines for his father, leaving the girls in the care of his stepmother. The girls went to Nazreen's house where they were allegedly poisoned. Reports said the children fell ill with stomach pains and died before being taken to hospital.
SP Abhishek Jha confirmed the arrival of police at the spot, pointing out that initial investigation revealed that the children were poisoned while in the care of their stepmother. The charges show that the stepmother and father were responsible for the tragedy. The pair are currently being questioned by police as part of their investigation.
