The mother of a young man was allegedly abducted by his girlfriend's parents after they eloped in a village near Molapur in Tamil Nadu's Dalmapuri district.
The girl's parents kidnapped the man's mother in an attempt to force the couple out of their hiding place.

according to a indian express Two police teams are currently searching for the couple and the girl's parents, who disappeared after locking the house and turning off their mobile phones, reports said.
The situation escalated when the girl's parents realized their daughter was missing and turned their grievances onto the young man's mother, a senior official in charge of the case revealed.
“Both the woman and the man were well educated – the latter a graduate in agricultural sciences. They were suspicious of the young man but could not contact him on the phone. They then turned their resentment towards his mother,” the police officer said .
Describing the abduction, the officer noted that the young man's mother was unaware she had eloped and was shocked when the girl's parents came to see her the next day (Wednesday).
“After learning that her son had eloped, the young man's mother was shocked. She tried to call her son, but the phone was switched off. She had little time to process the situation. The woman's parents told her without hesitation that their daughter had an affair with The son eloped and allegedly took her away – although there was no violence involved,” the officer explained.
However, the young man's mother was later rescued by a SWAT team.
