The Arvind Kejriwal government will start cashless healthcare facilities for over 20,000 retired employees of Delhi's Vidyut Board, Power Minister Atishi said on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference, the Delhi minister said that documents for cashless healthcare facilities were signed on Friday and a notification will be issued next week, after which the scheme will come into effect.
Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) will provide cashless medical facilities to Delhi Vidyut Board (DVB) employees who retired before April 2002.
Atishi said the power generation companies (PPCL and IGPCL), DTL and the three distribution companies (discoms) will handle the cashless healthcare facility for employees working with them who retired after 2002.
She added that retired employees faced many difficulties in getting reimbursement for medical claims but now the Kejriwal government's cashless healthcare facility will put an end to this.
