The victim's mother filed a complaint against her husband on Friday
A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father here for more than a year, police said on Saturday.
Circle officer Anjani Kumar Chaturvedi said the victim's mother filed a complaint against her husband on Friday.
She claimed in the complaint that her husband raped their daughter multiple times over the past year. When she was confronted by her husband, he gave her triple talaq and fled, police said.
Based on her complaint, the police lodged an FIR and the accused was arrested on Saturday. The CO added that further investigations are ongoing.
