When contacted, renowned cardiologist Dr Sarkar said he had received a summons from the police asking him to meet the police at La Bazar.

Purba Bardhaman district deputy chief medical officer Dr Goswami said he has not received the summons yet.
Speaking to PTI, he said: “I have not received any information. I don't know why the Kolkata police issued a summons to me without investigating the case. I have always said that I will do everything possible to cooperate with the investigation. I have not disclosed Chatterjee, a former BJP MP from Hooghly constituency, said she has not received any summons yet.
“It would be better if they showed the same promptness in investigating this case. Everyone wants justice for this girl,” she said.
