To reach Meenmutty, one has to take a boat from Neyyar Dam across its catchment area. After reaching the KombaiKani tribal settlement, the trek begins towards Meenmutty waterfalls, about 5 km from the settlement and KombaiKani waterfalls. Kombai Kani Falls is a wide waterfall on the course of the Neyyar River.
There is a forest camp nearby where hikers can rest and eat. Forest guides accompany the treks, which require permission from the forest department. Meenmutty Falls is an ideal destination for a day trek and in the evening, the boat will pick you up from KombaiKani and return you to Neyyar Dam.
