The autopsy report conducted on the victim on the evening of August 9 also mentioned that the doctor had 16 signs of external injuries and 9 signs of internal injuries.
The autopsy report of the female doctor who was allegedly raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital revealed that her death was mainly due to “manual strangulation related to asphyxia”.
It also found the “manner of death” to be “homicide.” The autopsy report conducted on the victim on the evening of August 9 also mentioned that the doctor had 16 signs of external injuries and 9 signs of internal injuries.
The report also states: “There was medical evidence that her genitals were forcibly penetrated/penetrated – a possible possibility of sexual assault.”
Among the 16 injuries, she had abrasions on her cheeks, lips, nose, neck, arms and knees, it said, adding that her private parts were also injured.
The report states that “all injuries were antemortem” and lists nine internal injuries, including wounds to the scalp, neck and muscles elsewhere in the body.
PTI had earlier reported that the autopsy report revealed that multiple people were involved in the death of the postgraduate intern who was found in the seminar room of RG Kar Hospital on August 9. has been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
