A POCSO court sentenced six more men to life imprisonment in the sensational Ajmer sex scandal in which more than 100 girls were raped and blackmailed.

In 1992, the Ajmer sex scandal came to light.
The school and college girls, aged between 11 and 20, were victims of a gang whose members befriended them, photographed them in compromising circumstances and later raped them.
There are 18 defendants in the case.
Singh said the first chargesheet in the case was filed against 12 people.
Among them, Naseem alias Tarzan absconded in 1994 and Jahur Chishti was found guilty under Section 377 (unnatural sexual intercourse) and the case was transferred to another court.
Farooq Chishti's trial was separated after he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and sentenced to life in prison in 2007.
The other eight defendants were sentenced to life imprisonment in 1998.
He said the second chargesheet was filed against Nafees Chishti, Salim Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, Sahail Gani, Sayed Zameer Hussain and Almas, who is still at large.
The remaining five people-Nafees Chishti, Salim Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, Sohail Gani, Sayed Zameer Hussain and another defendant Naseem (alias Taishan) were sentenced to life imprisonment on Tuesday.
Other defendants who were punished in the past have either completed their sentences or been acquitted by the courts.
Lawyers said the six men were tried separately because the investigation against them had not been completed when the first chargesheet was filed.
The victim studied in a reputed private school in Ajmer. They were called to a farmhouse where they were raped.
