A US citizen was shot dead at his home in Amritsar, Punjab, on Saturday morning. CCTV footage of the incident in Dabulji village showed two men entering the house and opening fire on Sukhcha Singh, who was shot three times.
According to media reports, Sukhchain was rushed to a hospital in Amritsar and was reported to be in critical condition. In a video that went viral, the victim's family tried to intervene and plead with the attacker to stop. Despite their efforts, the attacker shot Singh in the head and neck and fled the scene.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal shared a video of the incident on his social media account, condemning the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab.
Badal expressed grief over the attack, noting that Singh's mother and children were helplessly pleading for his life. Sadr leaders criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, saying such violence occurred regularly under his administration and called on him to resign on moral grounds.
