Security forces retaliated for terrorist shootings, according to Kashmir police
A major terror attack on a police post near Watgam camp in north Kashmir's Baramulla Lafiabad district on Saturday was repelled. A joint team of Indian Army and J&K Police came under fire from terrorists in Watgam area of Sopore. According to Kashmir police, security forces retaliated for the shooting by terrorists. Shooting was taking place on both sides. The area has been cordoned off.

“An exchange of fire broke out in Soporevotgam area. Security forces on alert retaliated. The area was cordoned off. Search operations are on. Further details will be announced later,” Kashmir Regional Police said in a statement.
